Europe 2019 - Go East Young Man

Once again dear friends I am heading off for the sophistication, couth and culture that is Europe.  I won't give too much away just yet about my itinerary so that you can follow my adventures on here with awe and wonder as the trip unfolds before your very eyes.  The blog name and the photo above may give you a clue as to one of my destinations.

I will endeavour to maintain the blog on a daily basis however don't panic if there are no postings for a day or two.  It doesn't mean that I have run away to join the gypsies or been kidnapped by Russian Mafiosi, it could be that I am so engrossed in the couth and culture that I have been distracted from my blogger's duties.  (Or even more likely I have found a bar that doesn't have wi-fi).

If by chance I am kidnapped by Russian Mafiosi me old mate Flashy has been tasked with organising my rescue.  Some of you may remember Flashy from the legendary and infamous Battlefields and Burgundy Tour of 2012.  However I do have some concerns here as Flashy sometimes confuses his Burgundy with his Bordeaux (the places, not the wines).

I will take this opportunity to confirm that once again there will be no, and I emphasise no, food photos.  (Anyway, food photos are so 2018, don't you think)?

And secondly, I will apologise in advance if I cause offence to any nationality, racial group or anybody else who may have irritated me on a particular day.  As usual any irritation is quickly forgiven and forgotten.  (Except for family groups that hold up a queue for 20 minutes whilst deciding what ticket they are going to buy to gain admission to whatever tourist attraction that we are all trying to visit, hopefully before closing time)!!
